I started a pair of
Knotty Gloves by Julia Mueller of Laris designs. I'm using Socks That Rock Raven sock yarn in the Lenore colorway. It is lightweight sock yarn that I received from their Rockin' Sock Club with a lovely Yarn Harlot lacy sock pattern. I really wanted to make some gloves and this design is the least complicated of the Julia Mueller patterns I have (Bobbie, Meisi, and Gordian). I am using 2.5 mm Addi Lace 32" needles. I have completed the cable knot part and the rest of the glove is straight forward. This yarn is leaving black residue on my fingers as I knit so I will be sure to give the gloves a good washing after I have completed them. I made the cuff 8 rows shorter as I'm not so fond of a very long cuff. Hopefully, they will knit up quickly and I will get to wear them before spring arrives in the next few weeks.
Very pretty. Enough variation in the color to keep it interesting while not distracting from the cabling. Sad that it is rubbing off on your hands, though.

I'm sure they'll look really elegant, sweetie.

The colors are nice & can't wait to see the whole glove.. I have the same problem with a dark brown yarn as the color also comes off. I have stopped knitting as I don't like the residues of chemicals on my hand.
