I completed my Meilenweit Cotton Fantasy socks before we left for Seattle so I could wear them as we traveled. I really wanted to start a new project, Grasshopper STR socks, but I pretty much forced myself to finish these socks. Ever since Patrick mentioned to me that his partner, Mr. Penney, didn't understand how we can have more than one project going, I have thought more carefully before starting a new project. I think about a something new to cast on and then I wonder, "How would I justify this project to Mr. Penney?" I met him at MSWF and he is very nice, but now I worry that he would not approve of my starting a new project before finishing something I am already working on. Opal shared with me that I might have a case of "Startitis" and I know I have fiber-related ADD. Peggy also wrote an insightful blog on this matter. Now if I could just manage my tendency to rip out so easily, I might get more projects completed.
Wow - another pair of socks! I understand your problem of casting on a new project - I am in the same situation as I become bored just knitting on the same project for a while. The other reason is that it's good to have another project with different stitch pattern so that the fingers are exercised in a different manner. Hope these excuses help.

Beautiful socks! I'm battling a case of startitis right now. My idea of a curse is to attack a UFO project. Wish me luck ;-)

We have a walk out basement, when I went downstairs to feed the bunnies yesterday my eye were drawn to my stash I have stashed down that. I realized there are projects either waiting to be put together or things OTN. I think I need to fill out one of those needle/yarn/project charts. I don't have a clue of what I have.....anywhere!!!!

ROTFLMAO! Oh, please don't try to justify starting a new project to Paul. I don't, and I live with him! Although, he does know how to play on that Catholic guilt thing with me. I have to keep him away from my mother because of that.
Love the socks.
