Here is my Hydrangea All-Day Lollipop spindle and the merino that I plied with it. I spun about 1/3 of an ounce on three different spindles and then plied them together with my All-Day Lollipop spindle. This spindle weighs 1.8 ounces and has a large whorl to accommodate plying. I have gotten in the habit of just plying on my Lendrum. This time I was in the mood for some spindle plying and just taking my time with it. I am able to pay more attention to the plying and add more twist as needed. When I ply with my wheel, sometimes I have not added enough twist and will then have to put it through on my wheel again to add more twist. I planned to use this yarn and some navy blue hand-spun merino to make a pair of Sun & Moon socks. It turns out that I do not have enough yarn to make the socks so I will make a pair of mittens from Mostly Mittens by Charlene Schurch. I have knit several hats from her Hats On! book and look forward to making a pair of her mittens.
The yarn and the spindle are really nice! They even go together! Sun and Moon socks sounds very pretty.

Thank you! Since the alpaca is used in my group's KAL, it won't get put away:)

How cool, that spindle is really great. And great color on your new yarn, too. VERY springy.
