A Change of Pace
In addition to knitting a Snoopy sweater for my sister, Maria, I finished this Snoopy cross-stitch tablecloth for my sister, Teresa. It could have been a tree skirt, but we decided it would get more use as a table cover. Plus, I would have had to cut a 5" hole in the middle and then cut through one side so it could go around the tree. I bought some red fabric with white snowflakes for the backing. Teresa cross-stitched all the way around the tablecloth. The tree skirt version was stitched about 3/4 around the circle. The piping was a challenge for me, but over all, it wasn't too bad. I do not enjoy sewing as much as I enjoy knitting and spinning, and I am the only one of us with a sewing machine. This gives me the privilege of completing their cross-stitch stockings and tablecloths. I'm just glad to have this finished in time for Teresa and her family to enjoy it for the holidays.
