Great colors! I am surprised that the socks wore out so easily as Wollmeise yarn is so tightly spun. I knitted a shawl with Wollmeise and even after blocking, it was not soft.

What color! Those are great looking socks.
I haven't tried Wollmeise, but I have given up on Jitterbug because that yarn just wore out too quickly because it was so soft. Now, some of my socks that are 100% merino with a harder twist are starting to wear in the heal as well, but that is with near weekly wear for about four or five years, so I can cut them some slack.
