Here are my completed Three Irish Girl Adorn socks in the Skyline Parkway colorway. This colorway was one of five limited edition colorways dyed by Three Irish Girls last fall. There are a lot of flecks of color in this yarn so I can only imagine what a challenge it was to dye this particular colorway.
Adorn sock yarn is very nice with 80% merino and 20% nylon. I used my 2.25 mm Addi Turbo 40" needles and 72 sts for most of the sock going down to size 2.00 mm for the heels and toes. I like the short-row heel a lot as it is easy to replace when necessary, however, it gives less space in the ankle/heel area than flap heels do. Going up to a 2.25 mm needle for the leg and foot of the sock helps to compensate for this.
Now I just need some cooler weather before I can wear these new socks!

Those sparks of color are really nice. I have never tried changing the size of needles when I knit socks. I usually change the stitch count to accommodate differences in sizing.

Lovely socks! With yarns that have nylon in them, do you find that you have replace the heels in your socks often?
