Here is the Windschief Cowl I completed for my friend, Gina, who adores cotton. The yarn is Blue Sky Alpacas Worsted Cotton and it was leftover from a Baby Bobbi Bear that I knitted for my nephew, Justin, several years ago. I have been reknitting some toes on my socks and Stephen West's clever pattern was a nice diversion.
I used my size 7 Addi Lace Clicks for the ribbing edges and size 8 for the body of the cowl. I worry it will look like some type of a neck brace, however, I am confident that Gina will stylize it so it will look very fashionable on her.

Nice design & it must feels nice as it's knitted in cotton. One of my girls only want to wear cotton knitted socks as she likes the softness of the cotton but the socks stretched a lot during wear.

What a great use of left over yarn. And I am sure your friend will appreciate the gift. It looks great!
