I have been knitting this top-down raglan sweater for my nephew, Joshua. The yarn is Berrocco Vintage in the Dark Denim colorway. I am using my size 7 Denise needles for the body and size 5 for the ribbing. The size 7 needles give me a gauge of 5 sts and 7 rows to the inch. I'm following the
Top-Down Raglan sweater pattern in the 5 st per inch gauge in child's size 10. I knitted it in the round, though, with 5 additional steek stitches. After sewing on each side of the center stitch with my sewing machine, I cut the steek and sewed double-folded seam binding over each raw edge. Now I need to knit the neck and button bands then tack down the seam binding. Once I sew on the buttons, Joshua will have his new sweater.
Great sweater. I am sure Joshua will love it.
Do you usually use the seam binding on the raw edges of steeks? I know a lot of people just leave it at the machine stitching. I have yet to try steeks.

The sweater looks great. I really have to give steeking a try as you make it looks so easy.
