Spinner's Shawl Sample

I started knitting sample of my handspun Cher alpaca yarn.  I thought the best way was to just start knitting the Spinner's Shawl.  I have two samples of this yarn, one spun with a woolen long draw and one spun with a worsted-style yarn forward draft.  I like the worsted one better and it shows the patterning very nicely.  This sample is knitted on size 8 (5.00 mm) Addi Lace needles.  I might tie a piece of contrasting yarn on the side and change to a size 9 needle.  Then I will bind off the piece and block it and see how the pattern looks in each needle size.

It looks beautiful. That is a good bit of prep work you are doing for the shawl. I am sure the results will be all the better for this work up front.

But where is the update on the Cher shawl Roseann?? Some of us (your loyal fans) are dying to see it finished.
