I started a pair of Anne Mock Cable Twist socks (pdf is here) for my mother. The yarn is Lorna's Laces Tickled Pink that Patrick so kindly included with my silk handwoven scarf prize. I'm using my Purple Passion Darn Pretty dpns in size 0, but they are actually closer to size 1 (2.25 mm). My Bubble Gum stripe dpns are a little smaller and I am thrilled to have even more dpn sock needle increments. I was leary of casting on so many (72 sts) for socks for my mother. With the cabling and my tight knitting, they should fit or be just a little bit big. She is fine with colorful handpainted yarn, and we will see how she likes them once they are completed.
I like Lorna's Laces and pink is my favorite color. These will be very cute socks and I know your mom will love them!
