Cabin Cove Roving & Yarn
I received my recent Cabin Cove Mercantile purchases today. Dave is dyeing roving in addition to sock yarn so I picked up one of each. The roving is superwash merino dyed in the Pocket Money colorway. I have not spun superwash before, so this should be an adventure! I have 4 oz and plan to make a 3 ply yarn for socks or maybe a hat. I will decide once I see how the yarn turns out. My photo does not do the merino/nylon (in color MN 109) sock yarn justice. This blend is wonderfully soft and these colors are incredibly vibrant. I will be winding it into a ball very soon. Thank you to Dave for his prompt shipping and for brightening my Monday afternoon.

I love the roving, can't wait to see it spun up. Are you going to Navajo ply it or really 3 ply? And you talkin about bright, those socks are going to be something else!!!

That roving is going to be so nice! And love the yarn! I got my yarn from Dave this afternoon too! Really does brighten the day doesn't it?

What beautiful roving and what wild sock yarn! I think you're going to have a ball with both. :-)

I don't remember seeing that yarn in his store, but you might have gotten there before I did. (I was a bad boy and went a little crazy at Cabin Cove Mercantile.)
I do love the purchases.

Wow, that IS fast shipping. And your photos really do them justice. Now, to see you spin your magic. (And, yes, you beat Patrick for this one!)
