I've finished my Oak Leaf & Acorn scarf. Here it is drying and perhaps stretching a little. It is about 6" wide by 52" long, not bad for a 2.3 oz skein of 2-ply yarn. I completed 6 oak leaf repeats on the first half of the scarf, however, I only had enough yarn to complete 5 oak leaf repeats on the second half. If you look carefully on the right, you can see the acorns, I was surprised at how nicely they turned out. I also like the picot cast-off edging but I opted for a 3 stitch picot instead of the 4 stitch picot in the original pattern. This merino/angora (80%/20%) blend is so soft and I especially like the color variations in this Iris colorway by Gypsy Girl Creations. I used 24 inch size 6 Addi Turbo Lace needles to knit this scarf. That is the largest size they make and I wanted to see how I liked them. They are very pointy and quite helpful for lace knitting. I look forward to using them for future lace projects.
