Biography
I was born in the mid-1960s and I remember crocheting doll clothes when I was 5 years old. I started knitting around the age of 8 and more so as I entered my teens. I have learned the most from knitting with other people. I learned to spin over 15 years ago.
At local yarn shops, I have taught Beginning Knitting, Sock Knitting, Continental Knitting, and Fair Isle (two-handed, two-color) Knitting. I have also taught drop spindle spinning classes, and I own a variety of spindles in addition to my three spinning wheels. I am currently working on the final TKGA (The Knitting Guild Association) Level III of the Master Knitting Program for Hand Knitting.
My blog name comes from a song called "Possessed to Skate" by the band "Suicidal Tendencies". When I get very close to finishing a project, I just keep knitting until I get it done so my favorite knitting phrase "Possessed to Knit" was born.
I have been married to my college sweetheart, Al, since July 1987. Colin & Caitlin are our King Charles Cavalier Spaniels.
